Healthcare authorities in Bosnia reported on Thursday that 1,286 people tested positive for the coronavirus and 38 passed away from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Of the 2,765 samples tested in Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity since Wednesday, 861 were positive. FBiH also saw 16 more COVID-19 fatalities.
In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 379 of the 1,101 people tested were positive for the virus and 18 passed away due to the disease.
Bosnia’s Brcko District also registered 46 new coronavirus cases and four COVID-19 fatalities.
A total of 98,603 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia since the beginning of the pandemic and 62,592 of them have recovered so far.
The COVID-19 death toll is now 3,199.
There are currently 32,812 active coronavirus cases in the country.
