Over the last 24 hours, six patients died and out of 990 tested people 264 were reported infected with the coronavirus, the Public Health Institute said on Monday.
The death toll stood at 1,262, while 36,773 patients have recovered so far.
On Monday, there were 11,134 active cases.
Since the epidemic outbreak, 173,145 people were tested and 49,169 were confirmed infected.
