Mariza, a famous Portuguese fado singer, a world diva of this genre, arrived in Banja Luka, where she will hold a concert Friday night at the Castel Fortress.

In the previous evenings of the Banja Luka Fest, the spirit of Vojvodina was brought to Banja Luka by Zvonko Bogdan, who delighted the audience with his tamburitza players.

The incredible Amira Medunjanin aroused the deepest emotions Thursday night, and the audience demanded more tickets than there were in circulation.

With her voice and song, she drove away the clouds. “Kisa rosi, kisa rosi,” “Svirajte mi tiho, tise,” and other hits delighted the audience and Amira did not sing sevdalinka songs exclusively on the Kastel, but touched the souls of lovers of the famous Silvana Armenulic and Tomo Zdravkovic as well.

With thunderous applause, the Banja Luka audience showed how much they yearned for a live performance.

The festival, which began on July 6, already aspires to be one of the largest regional festivals. It was opened with a concert by the world-famous violinist Stefan Milenkovic. The opening was followed by the arrival of distinguished guests on the red carpet at the Kastel Fortress. Among the guests, special attention was given to host Marija Kilibarda and music artist Jelena Tomasevic, as well as the frontman of the group Piloti, composer and producer Zoran (Kiki) Lesendric, who attended the concert of the world-famous virtuoso from the front row.

The ovation and fireworks brought the visitors back to a better, more normal time – the one before the coronavirus.
