Banja Luka's Alternativna Television (ATV), currently under U.S. sanctions, has restructured its operations and now functions as a limited liability company under the name "Video Audio Media" Ltd. Banja Luka.
The founders of this new entity are Srdjan Kevac, Miskin Drahmi, Dragan Protic, and Sasa Pejic, each holding an equal share in the company. Notably, Kevac also serves as the director of ATV.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) explained that RS President Milorad Dodik's network—companies linked to the Dodik family and blacklisted—frequently restructures corporate ownership to conceal the family's involvement and evade sanctions. This manoeuvre was precisely what happened with ATV.
Public tenders revealed that the merger process of “Alternative Television” Ltd. Banja Luka into “K-2 Audio Services” Ltd. Banja Luka (shortened to “K-2” Ltd. Banja Luka) began on March 1st this year. According to the documentation, ATV ceased to exist in January 2024. The merger aimed at “rationalizing operations, reducing costs, and improving business efficiency and market strength.”
The merger contract stated, “The company transferring its assets will cease to exist without liquidation, while the acquiring company will continue with increased capital, expanded activities, and the acquisition of members from the absorbed company.”
Kevac later commented that the primary intention behind these changes was to dissolve ATV.
