BiH Council of Ministers adopts Draft Agreement on Southern Interconnection

At an extraordinary telephone session, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Report on negotiations and established the Draft Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia on the construction of the gas pipeline 'Southern Interconnection of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia', on the route Zagvozd (Croatia) – Posusje (BiH) – Novi Travnik/Travnik, with a branch toward Mostar.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH has been tasked with submitting the Draft Agreement to the Presidency of BiH for further procedure in accordance with the law, along with a proposal to authorize the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH to sign it on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The agreement defines the basis for cooperation and joint construction of the interconnection (each side on its own territory) along the routes Zagvozd (Republic of Croatia) – Posusje (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – Tomislavgrad – Suica – Kupres – Bugojno – Novi Travnik/Travnik, as well as Posusje – Grude – Siroki Brijeg – Mostar, with branches toward Livno, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Donji Vakuf and Jajce, including a branch to Čapljina and an additional route Kladanj – Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Split – Zagvozd gas pipeline in the Republic of Croatia, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.
