The Court of Bosna and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment against Ratko Vujovic, Ljubomir Vlacic, Vitomir Pepic, Milovan Ognjenovic, Goran Viskovic, Zeljko Dupljanin and Vlastimir Goljan, former commanders and members of the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS), for genocide and murders committed in July 1995 in the area of Sekovici and Vlasenica.
According to the indictment, they are accused of knowingly assisting members of a joint criminal enterprise and various individuals, military and police units, including units of the Drina Corps, the Main Staff of the VRS, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS, whose the plan was to imprison and execute, and then bury Bosniak men of military age from the Srebrenica enclave, and forcibly relocate women, children and the elderly, thus destroying them as a group.
According to one of the counts of the indictment, in mid-July 1995, men and boys who had been brought to the site of the “Hasimova rupa” pit, previously captured in an attempt to escape from Srebrenica after July 11, 1995, were killed.
According to the indictment, on July 23, 1995, 39 Bosniaks were shot in the area of the meadow called “Doline-Krajevi”, while in the second half of July 1995, a smaller group of people were shot near Vlasenica in the area “Jarovlje”.
The indictment for these crimes was filed in December last year.
