Bosnian prosecutors charged on Wednesday six former Bosnian Army members and police officers with war crimes, including murder, unlawful imprisonment and torture, committed against ethnic Serb civilians and members of the Bosnian Serb army in the eastern town of Zvornik committed in 1994.

Prosecutors allege that Semsudin Muminovic, Mujo Muratovic, Rasim Omerovic, Asim Alic, and Fadil Mujic and Ismet Memic either failed to prevent or participated in “a large-scale and systematic attack on the Serb civilian population in and around Zvornik” during which ten civilians and three members of the Army of Republika Srpska were imprisoned, tortured and killed.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
