BiH registers 220 new coronavirus infections, 404 recoveries, 23 fatalities

A total of 220 people tested positive for the coronavirus while 404 recovered and 23 passed away due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours in Bosnia and Herzegovina, healthcare authorities said on Monday.

In Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, 150 of the 1,293 samples tested since Sunday came back positive for the virus, while nine more people died due to disease.

In the other semi-autonomous entity, Republika Srpska (RS), 68 of the 423 people tested were positive and 14 COVID-19 patients passed away.

Bosnia’s Brcko District registered two more coronavirus cases.

Some 110,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in BiH since the beginning of the epidemic while more than 75,000 of them have recovered so far.

Bosnia’s COVID-19 death toll is now nearly 4,000.
