A local prosecutor confirmed that at least 31 people, including two children, were injured by an explosion in a cafe in the Kosovo town of Urosevac on Tuesday.
The Serbian state TV (RTS) said that the cause of the blast had not been determined, adding that local media reported that a gas canister had exploded.
It quoted the head of the Urosevac hospital Jeton Zeqiri as saying that 22 blast victims had been hospitalized there and eight others were taken to the Clinical Center in Pristina. “Four people were seriously burned and are in critical condition,” he said.
Local media reported a strong police presence at the site of the blast.
