The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) has begun distributing ballots to more than 45,000 voters who will vote by mail from abroad in the 2026 General Election, while also carrying out other election-related activities, including publishing the certified candidate lists for the upcoming election.

Following the printing and packaging of the ballots, distribution to voters registered to vote by mail from abroad began yesterday. After the deadline for appeals expired and CEC BiH decisions became final, a total of 48,078 voters were registered to vote from outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, including 45,457 by mail and 2,621 at diplomatic and consular missions.

CEC said it had rejected around 5,000 applications to vote from abroad because they did not meet the legal requirements. A total of 39 appeals were filed, four of which were upheld by CEC, while the others were rejected or dismissed by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina as unfounded or inadmissible.

on Tuesday, CEC BiH also published the certified candidate lists for the 2026 General Election in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina, issue No. 59/26.
