Hundreds of homes just outside the capital Sarajevo are threatened to be flooded after raging rivers burst their banks following heavy rain that hit the central parts of the country during the last night.
Dramatic images were seen in the Butmir settlement where river overtopped its bank and entered homes.
Traffic connection to the Otes settlement has been completely cut.
Some roads to the Istocna Ilidza municipality were also blocked. The municipality head advised the citizens to protect their homes, and not to send their children to schools as the river which overtopped the bank is practically flowing through the local elementary school's front yard.
