Bosnian Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic denied allegations that he received a letter from Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, as suggested by some media outlets. “I am not one of those who uses the story of Gaza for political daily purposes, as some politicians and some media do. I have never hidden that I am on the side of the fight for a solution called two states. I support Palestine's efforts to maintain their sovereignty and have their own state and I expect it to go towards that direction. I am against the occupation of Gaza, I am against the killing of civilians in both Israel and Gaza,” Konakovic told media on Wednesday.

Some media outlets reported that Hamas leader reached out to Konakovic seven days ago, asking him to provide help for Palestine.

“There is no Hamas letter, no such letters in the Foreign Affairs Ministry system,” he underlined.
