“With great sadness, I received the news of the accident in which the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi was killed with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and associates. On behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on my own behalf, I send my sincere condolences to the family of President Raisi, to the families of all victims in these tragic circumstances and to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said Becirovic.

The helicopter carrying Raisi and Amirabdolahian crashed on mountainous terrain in heavy fog, on their way back from a visit to the border with Azerbaijan, on Sunday. Iranian armed forces were dispatched very quickly, and help came from the European Union, Turkey, Azerbaijan and other countries.
