“After the systematic destruction of most of the hospitals in Gaza, especially the Al-Shifa Hospital, the need for basic health care became a priority, and the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to use the funds collected by its members to start a mobile clinic that is currently operating in one of the abandoned schools,” said Muhamed Jusic, the director of the Directorate for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, MINA Agency reported.

He announced that the clinic will continue to work in the coming days in the settlements where conditions are met due to the security situation and per the capabilities of the Islamic Community in BiH.

“This is a symbolic, but much-needed help, and the Islamic Community will continue to collect aid and organize other forms of support in the coming period, all to at least slightly reduce the suffering of civilians in Gaza. We will try to justify the trust of our members who supported these efforts and follow the priorities and the situation in Gaza, and find new ways to help,” Jusic said.

The Islamic Community also continued to prepare hot meals and iftar in Gaza refugee settlements, through the partner organization “Human Appeal.”

Over 10,000 meals were prepared daily, during the month of Ramadan.
