Ismail Zulfic, a para-swimming representative from Bosnia and Herzegovina, achieved an outstanding result today on the international stage.
Competing for the Swimming Club SPID from Sarajevo, Zulfic broke the European record in the senior category during the morning qualifiers on the first day of the World Para Swimming Series in Berlin.
Zulfic set the European record in the 100 meters butterfly event in the S5 class.
“I am delighted with my result. It's another step forward in my career. I met my expectations and am happy with the outcome. Thanks to my coaches, trainers, everyone who supports me, and my parents,” Zulfic told N1.
The previous record stood for 22 years.
