CBBiH – Foreign exchange reserves reach 15.87 billion marks at the end of April

The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) amounted to 15.87 billion Bosnian marks (or €8.177.169.385) at the end of April this year representing an increase of 541.6 million marks (some €271 million) (3.5 percent) on an annual level.

According to the CBBH data on monetary trends, total loans to domestic sectors at the end of April this year amounted to 24.27 billion marks (some €12 billion), and compared to the previous month, it represents an increase in loans of 224.8 million marks (€112 million) (0.9 percent).

Credit growth was registered in the household sector by 113.3 million marks (around €68 million) (0.9 percent) and in private companies by 139 million marks (some €70 million) (1.4 percent).

In other sectors, credit growth decreased, namely in non-financial public enterprises by 17.8 million marks (some €8 million) (3 percent), in government institutions by 7.8 million marks (some €4 million) (0.7 percent) and in other domestic sectors by 1. 8 million marks (some €800.000) (0.7 percent).

According to the CBBH data, the total deposits of domestic sectors at the end of April this year amounted to 31.92 billion marks (some €16 billion), compared to the previous month, deposits increased by 133.2 million marks (around €65 million) (0.4 percent).

The annual growth rate of total deposits in April this year was 8.5 percent, which in absolute terms is 2.51 billion marks (€1.3 billion).
