Trucks belonging to the firm ‘MZ Company blocked both entrances to the building of Bosnian aluminium manufacturing company ‘Aluminij’ in the southern city of Mostar on Thursday because of an unpaid debt allegedly amounting to more than one million Bosnian Marks.
According to the head of business development at MZ Company, Sanela Zetica, the company signed two contracts with Aluminij four months ago for the realisation of two projects.
“As for the first contract, the agreement was that they would pay upon delivery of the invoices, however, that was not respected. They paid a little at first, but the last two invoices were late,” she explained.
“When it comes to the second contract, the agreement was payment 21 days from the day of invoicing, but even that was not paid. The debt has accumulated and now amounts to over one million Bosnian Marks,” Zetica added.
Aluminij has also not offered any solution or strategic plan to resolve the situation, she argued, stressing that her company would not stop blocking Aluminij’s entrances until the debt is paid.
