Bosnia has already secured and paid for vaccines against COVID-19 for 40 percent of its population, Council of Ministers Chairman, Zoran Tegeltija, said on Wednesday.
“Payments for vaccines have been made and we expect their delivery,” Tegeltija said Tegeltija.
He explained that the process of procurement of vaccines began in June 2020, and was led by the ministries of health of Bosnia’s two semi-autonomous entities, the Department of Health of the Brcko District and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We have a written notification that around 27,000 Pfeizer vaccines and between 200,000 and 250,000 vaccines produced by Moderna will arrive in BiH by mid-February at the latest,” Tegeltija said.
