A Croatia Airlines plane landed a little after midday on Wednesday at the airport in Mostar, and this flight from Zagreb marked the restoration of the regular line between the two cities.
A Dash 8-Q400 type aircraft, with a total capacity of 56 passengers, flew on the renewed route.
Airport Director Marko Djuzel said that this is the establishment of the first regular service after almost three years at Mostar Airport.
“This opens up space for traveling to Europe and the world,” said director Djuzel.
The Croatia Airlines aircraft will fly from Zagreb to Mostar and back three times a week, and the contract on subsidizing this line was signed for the period of six months. The Mayor of Mostar, Mario Kordic, said that by activating the airport, the city wants to catch up with Europe and the rest of the world.
