Croatian President calls for recognition of Kosovo

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic called for recognition of Kosovo in his speech at the UN General Assembly.

Milanovic voiced concern over the latest developments in relations between Belgrade and Pristina and called for a de-escalation of tensions which have been high in Kosovo’s northern majority-Serb municipalities following the election of ethnic Albanian mayors in local elections which the Serbs boycotted.

The Croatian President called for the universal recognition of Kosovo as an equal member of the community of nations.
