Delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sefik Dzaferovic, spoke out today following accusations against the SDA for the failure to adopt the Reform List related to the Growth Plan.
“The Council of Ministers cannot escape its exclusive responsibility for not adopting the Reform List related to the Growth Plan. The lack of consensus within the working group does not absolve the Council of Ministers from fulfilling its constitutional and legal obligations,” Dzaferovic stated.
He added that he does not understand why the ruling political parties did not convene a session where the document could have been adopted.
“If there is agreement on the Reform List among the ruling political parties, whose members form the Council of Ministers, then a session could have been held to make a decision, adopt the document, and take responsibility for the actions. Why this was not done is another matter. It seems easier to blame the SDA as an opposition party for the unfinished work and thus transparently avoid their own responsibility,” Dzaferovic added.
In conclusion, he reiterated that the responsibility lies with the Council of Ministers.
“The cantonal premiers from the SDA have presented their position, which, in my opinion, is logical, principled, and meets the requirements of the European Commission. However, I repeat, the responsibility lies with the Council of Ministers,” Dzaferovic concluded.
