Milorad Dodik, the President of Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity, said he felt “no remorse” for the incident that occurred on Saturday evening in the northern city of Banja Luka, when a group of hooligans attacked LGBTIQ activists and journalists, injuring a few of them. The incident came after police banned an event organised by the BH Pride Parade association and Dodik expressed negative opinion about that event. Pročitaj više

“Banja Luka is not a city that can accept and understand that kind of organization. Given that this was all organized by the people who come from aside, Banja Luka said it does not belong to this sort of conscience. As long as I'm the president, I will always be expressing my stance,” said Dodik, addressing the media a day after the incident occurred.

He also said he felt “no remorse” for what happened.

“As for those who took violent actions, there is a law, they are known, they will be held accountable,” he underlined.

Asked if the police were capable of protecting 15 persons from the masked hooligans, Dodik replied that the event was banned and that they were not allowed to gather in closed areas either.
