The President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, said after the conversation with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Szijjart, that the RS and Hungary have no open issues. He especially thanked his Hungarian hosts for their plan to vote against the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide at the UN General Assembly.
“Today's meeting with you and the Prime Minister is encouraging for us. Thank you for your understanding about the UN Resolution issue. It will harmonize relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina acts like a haunted area where we received a decision on the [EU] negotiating status but only a few days after Christian Schmidt, who presents himself as a High Representative, imposes changes to the Election Law. And now we are in a vacuum. However, now we have this issue that overshadows our European path – and that is the Resolution,” Dodik said.

He stated that the BiH authorities do not stand behind the Resolution and that it is in fact a “Bosniak-Muslim-German conspiracy”.
“We don’t dispute that a terrible crime took place in Srebrenica, but we believe that the fact that Serbs also suffered was not sufficiently appreciated. In addition, they persistently tell us that there is only individual responsibility and that is determined by judgments. But now the Resolution appeared and we also dispute that Germany is the sponsor of that Resolution, and that will destabilize BiH to the point of paralyzing any decision-making. Thank you for being against it,” said Dodik.
He pointed out that Hungary’s attitude is not to the detriment of Bosniaks, but that it is about the understanding of the problem.
Dodik stated that it is strange that “an issue like this is found at such a high level of decision-making”, noting that through Srebrenica, the USA and other European countries are trying to compensate the Muslim world for the events in Gaza.
