The US Embassy to Bosnia published an infographic showing their common interests with the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among the highlighted interests, mutuality in preserving the territorial integrity, sovereignty and multi-ethnic character of BiH is stated.

The list is made up of ten enumerated areas and includes the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the European Union and respect for all civilian victims from the war in the 90s, which implies the end of the politics of division.

This is the first time that the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina presents the aspirations of the United States in this way, through infographic elements, linking them with the interests of the citizens of the country.

During his speech at the opening of the BHAAAS event in Sarajevo, US Ambassador Michael Murphy said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is probably facing the worst political climate since the 1990s.

“Almost daily, we hear vicious, ethno-nationalist rhetoric of division and witness such actions coming from all sides of the political and ethnic spectrum and all parts of the country. As I have already stated, Milorad Dodik is particularly responsible for these issues,” Murphy said at the conference of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences in BiH.

Since the end of the war with the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the USA has continuously supported the political, economic and institutional reconstruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through various programs and initiatives, including financial assistance and diplomatic support, the United States seeks to advance democratic processes, human rights, and the rule of law. In today's context, American engagement remains vital in dealing with challenges such as corruption, ethnic tensions, and Euro-Atlantic integration, thereby contributing to the long-term stability and prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
