It is positive news that the authorities of the entity of Republika Srpska decided to withdraw the proposed bill on "foreign agents" which was not in accordance with European standards - the Delegation of the European Union in BiH said today.
The EU Delegation noted that the EU path is the best guarantee of greater prosperity and stability in BiH.
“We urge political leaders to focus on fulfilling the necessary steps to adopt the negotiating framework – following the green light for accession negotiations,” stated the EU Delegation in its post on the X platform.
The Government of the RS entity last night withdrew from the parliamentary procedure the Bill on a special register and publicity of the work of non-profit organizations, the so-called law on foreign agents.
The Bill was withdrawn immediately before the consideration of that item on the agenda at the session of the National Assembly of the RS, and the MPs were informed about this by the Minister of Justice of the RS, Milos Bukejlovic.
“The Government of the RS, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, withdraws from the parliamentary procedure the Bill on a special register and publicity of the work of non-profit organizations,” Bukejlovic said briefly without further explanation.
