Afghan journalist and artist, Fatimah Hossaini, who spoke to N1's Ika Ferrer Gotic in the moments of Taliban takeover of the capital, Kabul, managed to board one of the United States evacuation flights and is now in Paris. In the newest interview, Hossaini speaks about the path to freedom, which she documented in detail and shared with N1.

“I'm alive!” – are the very first words of Hossaini reconnecting with Ferrer Gotic. Hossaini managed to escape certain death at the hands of Taliban through communication with N1 journalists and organizations throughout the entire evacuation process.

This is the path to freedom of this brave Afghan journalist and artist, who hopes one day to be able to return to her country and build her very own future in it.
