The suspension followed the request of the FBiH Interior Minister, Aljosa Campara, and is the result of an internal investigation conducted by the FUP.
Cegara will be replaced by Latif Kabac in his position until the end of the suspension, and this decision comes into force on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
Čegar is also being investigated for a physical attack on an employee of a parking lot in Sarajevo. Additionally, last week he physically assaulted a journalist whom he threatened in front of the court in Dubrovnik, where his trial began on indictment of fraud.
After the journalist asked for a comment, Cegar told her “Don't make me rip your throat out!”
