Federation of BiH GDP grows 2.2 percent in final quarter of 2025

Observed by sections of the Classification of Activities, the most notable real growth in gross value added in the fourth quarter of 2025 was recorded in financial and insurance activities (6.4 percent); construction (3.8 percent); information and communication (3.4 percent); and wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transportation and storage, as well as accommodation and food service activities (2.5 percent).

Quarterly GDP indicates short-term economic trends and is therefore a useful tool for economic analysis and policymaking.

The main purpose of calculating quarterly GDP is to determine the real growth rate.

Quarterly GDP is calculated using the production approach at current prices, previous year's prices, and at the prices of the reference year 2021.
