The Joint Commission for Monitoring the Implementation of the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on European Partnership convened its inaugural session in Sarajevo, on Wednesday. The meeting was co-chaired by Josip Brkic, Bosnia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Andreja Metelko-Zgombic, State Secretary for Europe in the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
During this first session, the Commission, which includes representatives from Bosnian institutions and Croatia's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, reviewed completed projects and outlined programs for further cooperation. Specific actions and activities for future collaboration were also determined.
The Joint Commission is tasked with addressing and resolving issues that may arise during the implementation of the Agreement, ensuring smooth cooperation.
Croatia has committed to sharing its knowledge, experience, and expertise gained during its European integration process.
The Agreement was signed to support Bosnia in aligning its legislation and standards with those of the European Union. Croatia will provide political and technical support to BiH's Council of Ministers as part of the European partnership, aiming to advance Bosnia's EU integration, promote European values in bilateral and regional cooperation, and further stabilize Southeastern Europe.
