Five RS police officers handed over to the prosecution in operation 'Terminal' case

The suspects were handed over along with a report on the commission of the criminal offense of abuse of official position or authority.

During searches of locations used by the suspects, police found and temporarily seized mobile phones, notebooks, a copy of an official identification card, name badges bearing the names of other police officers, USB drives, a pistol, a small quantity of ammunition, as well as 24,440 euros, 38,330 KM, and 200 Swiss francs.

The investigation, which had been ongoing for an extended period, has established grounds for suspicion that the individuals abused their positions while performing their duties as police officers by misleading drivers during traffic checks and claiming that official RS Ministry of the Interior records listed them as traffic offenders.

They allegedly demanded and received unlawful financial benefits in exchange for sparing the drivers penalties for offenses they had not committed and deleting the offenses from official records.

All five police officers have been suspended, and internal disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against them.
