Flooding has caused serious damage in several places in Kosovo following heavy rains in the past few days, the Beta news agency said on Monday.
It said that six households had to be evacuated in the Glogovac municipality by emergency services and the Kosovo Security Forces. The local mayor said that the flooding caused damages to houses and farms. The Gnjilane municipality was also hard hit with 15 people evacuated and 87 households requesting help.
Flooding caused damage in Djakovica, Podujevo, Malisevo and Orahovac as well as the General Jankovic municipality.
The Kosovo Hydro-Meteorology Institute warned that all rivers had risen following heavy rains and show.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti visited the worst-hit areas with the defence minister and the commander of the Kosovo Security Forces.
