In an interview with N1, former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh commented on the results of the U.S. presidential elections and President Trump’s initial Cabinet nominations.

Walsh, who describes himself as a Republican populist, said that Trump is assembling a “TV Cabinet” designed solely to serve his own interests. According to Walsh, the message Trump is sending to the American electorate is: “You voted, now watch.”

Speaking of the Democrats, Walsh noted that they are in for a period of “soul-searching,” but added that many Republicans, disillusioned with their own party, would likely join them. He also highlighted that Trump's re-election brings joy to America's adversaries while leaving allies in dismay.
