Former UN SC President Arria: No one wanted Muslim Bosnia in Europe

Venezuelan diplomat, former UN Security Council President, Sarajevo honorary citizen, has once more arrived in Sarajevo. His first visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina was in April 1993 during the siege of Sarajevo, and has since then remained a friend of the country.

His connection with the United Nations started in 1991 when he became the Permanent Representative of Venezuela. He remained in that post until 1994, serving as Security Council President on March 1992. In 2003, Mr. Arria was named Special Advisor to Secretary-General Kofi Annan.

We are revisiting international rule of law, criminal justice, Bosnia 1992-95, Ukraine, Palestine and more.

It's now more than three decades since the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been lifted in front of the UN Security Council in New York. More than three decades of unanswered issues.

H.E. Diego Arria is answering pending questions long overdue, honestly and without censorship.
