In order to make an accurate assessment of the damage caused by the blockades of border crossings, the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting a survey of business entities in the country. Within less than 24 hours, 61 companies responded to the survey.

The total reported direct financial losses, in the event that the blockade lasts longer than three days, amount to 16.75 million Bosnian marks (approximately €8.3 million).
If the blockade lasts for seven days or more, the total reported direct financial losses cited by companies would reach 42.87 million (approx. €22 million), the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH announced.
Out of the total number of responses received, 34 companies provided specific financial figures for one or both of the observed periods (some companies for both questions, and some for only one). Of these 34 companies, 28 submitted quantified amounts for both scenarios (a blockade lasting longer than three days and a blockade lasting seven days or more), while 27 companies responded descriptively, without stating exact financial amounts.
Companies from various economic sectors took part in the survey, including the textile and leather industry, metal and electrical industries, wood processing and furniture production, the food industry, the chemical industry, the automotive sector, logistics and freight forwarding, as well as other export-oriented activities.
The collected data indicate a negative impact of the blockades on business operations, with companies fully or predominantly oriented toward exports to the European Union particularly affected—especially in the automotive, textile, metal, and wood industries—where delivery delays directly trigger contractual penalties and lead to disruptions in production cycles.
