Member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency Denis Becirovic met with German Ambassador Thomas Fitschen to discuss the progress of bilateral relations, which were described as continually improving, friendly, and cooperative on the international stage.
Becirovic highlighted Germany's role as a significant foreign policy partner, acknowledging its support in key reforms, infrastructure, and Bosnia's EU and NATO aspirations. Ambassador Fitschen reiterated Germany's commitment to supporting Bosnia's path to EU and NATO integration.
The meeting emphasized the importance of high-level visits to strengthen bilateral cooperation, with Becirovic mentioning his engagements with German officials, including Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, over the past year. Additionally, Becirovic expressed gratitude for Germany's support of the Berlin Process, aimed at fostering European integration of the Western Balkans.
He also thanked Germany for backing the resolution on the International Day of Remembrance of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide, emphasizing the enduring partnership between the two countries.
