Serbian Health Ministry State Secretary Mirsad Djerlek said on Friday that a small group of doctors are refusing to be inoculated against the coronavirus. He said that another group of doctors are choosing which vaccine to get.

“I am calling the public to get vaccinated. Just like everyone else, I had the option of choosing the vaccine. I got the Sputnik V and I have no undesirable effects from it. I don’t want a debate in Serbia about which vaccine is better, they’re all good,” he said.

“The good news is that the statistics show that we have fewer new cases in hospitals and on ventilators. We also have two vaccines and now we can be much more optimistic while combating the virus. We will finish this in the next few months and get back to normal,” Djerlek said.
