HR Schmidt reminds authorities to find a solution for the appointment of the FBiH Government

"Almost a year after issuing a Decision to unblock the appointment of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Representative Christian Schmidt reminds that, based on his decision from April 27, 2023, Amendment CXXXI to the Constitution of the Federation will come into effect on May 1, without the need for additional normative acts to ensure its legal effectiveness," the statement reads.

The High Representative urged the main political actors to be aware of this deadline, should they have constructive proposals to improve the amendment.

To remind, on April 27, 2023, Schmidt issued the final decision to unblock the appointment of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
