The situation on the ground in Syria is catastrophic and humanitarian aid is badly needed, said Adnan Hizam, spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Syria. Hizam works with his colleagues from the ICRC and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and is warning that it is necessary to push politics and humanitarian aid and do everything to help millions of people who are at risk. The latest data show that in the past seven days, around 5,000 people have died in this country, while thousands have been injured.
In the aftermath of the last week's earthquakes, Hizam spoke to N1's Esmir Milavic about the current situation in that country.
