In the past, they killed them first and lived on their bodies. It is very difficult to speak. They beheaded babies, tortured old people, people over 80 years old, tortured children. This is no ordinary terrorist attack, this is something so cruel it is almost unimaginable. She said that she saw the protests in Sarajevo on TV and argued that the gathering, which was organised to express support for the Palestinian people, was an expression of “support for what Hamas is doing”.

“I want to say to the people who support the Palestinians, if you support the Palestinians you must be against Hamas. How can we negotiate with Hamas if they want to kill us? I'm not making this up, they always declare it and have it in their declaration. Their purpose is to kill all Israelis and destroy Israel. Those who support the Palestinians should be against Hamas and terrorism and then Palestinian children and Israeli children will not die. We do not consider Palestinian civilians as enemies, we do see Hamas as enemies and it is their responsibility to protect civilians. If Hamas terrorists place themselves among the civilian population and do not allow them to evacuate, then they are to blame. It is Israel's responsibility to protect Israeli civilians”, she said.

Peleg said she also received many phone calls and messages of condolence for the victims.

“The demonstration I was talking about is just one thing. I have no intention of getting involved in political discussions”, she said.

“I am a guest in your country and I appreciate your hospitality and I have no intention of interfering in internal political matters. I just want to say, don't underestimate what happened. It cannot be compared to any other event. I mean in your country, you went through tragedies during the war in the 1990s, and I expect you to understand our grief and we don't deserve to be a political tool in BiH”, she added.
