Jacobson: Media trends we see in the US are worrying

Media trends and journalistic freedoms established in the USA during Trump's first term, have continued in the past few years despite him not being in power. However, they could intensify if he wins the next election, the latest research by the Committee for the Protection of Journalists found. Katherine Jacobson, the author of this research, pointed out that Trump and his followers are causing a significant deterioration of the state of the media, media freedoms and personal freedoms of American journalists. At the same time, leaders who behave similar to Trump in this area appear more and more often on the international scene.
