US President Joe Biden sent a congratulatory message to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of Statehood Day, 25 of November, saying that the USA remains firmly committed to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character of BiH.

“We remain committed to strengthening the ties between our people, whose diversity and dynamism have always strengthened our partnership,” Biden said at the beginning of his letter sent to the BiH Presidency.

“Attempts to undermine the Dayton Agreement, attacks on state institutions and calls for secession are collapsing the stability and future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This also poses a threat to citizens and normal living conditions. As you celebrate your country's holiday, I urge you to put your duties ahead of division and end the politics of nationalism,” Biden said in the letter.

He added that the government's focus on common visions will ensure a peaceful, prosperous and democratic future, “which the citizens deserve.”

“In the year ahead, I look forward to strengthening the partnership between our two nations and the friendship between our citizens, so that Bosnia and Herzegovina will progress towards a better future. I wish you a pleasant and peaceful celebration of the national holiday,” US President Joe Biden concluded.
