Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganic, stated on Friday that the case leading to the arrest of the BiH Security Minister Nenad Nesic and six others involves multi-million damages to the public company Putevi RS.

At a press conference in Sarajevo, Kajganic explained that the case was opened in the Prosecutor’s Office in 2019 as an investigation into activities related to money laundering, during which evidence was gathered confirming suspicions against the arrested individuals.

He added that a motion for pretrial detention would likely be filed against some of the suspects, with the decision to be made by the assigned prosecutor after interviewing all suspects.

Kajganic noted that the public would be informed about the details of the criminal acts during the hearings for pretrial detention and emphasized that the crimes were committed in both BiH entities.

He expressed gratitude to the RS Ministry of Interior for its support, which was essential for carrying out the mentioned activities.
