The talks focused on the implementation of the Southern Gas Interconnection, the development of the FBiH defense industry, and other key projects within the Ministry's remit.

Both sides emphasized that the Southern Gas Interconnection is a strategic project for Bosnia and Herzegovina that will bring energy independence and security by providing access to new sources of natural gas.

Beyond its energy-related aspects, the project also has significant economic importance, as it opens up opportunities for domestic construction and manufacturing companies, encourages new investment, and creates jobs.

"The Southern Interconnection is not just a matter of gas. It is an opportunity for the domestic economy to benefit directly from major projects. We have the same goal for our defense industry. We want more cooperation with American partners, more investment in the defense industry, and more new business opportunities. By strengthening the economy, we are creating better conditions for a long-term, sustainable partnership between BiH and the United States," Lakic said.

He underscored that the United States remains a key strategic partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in supporting its sovereignty, stability, and European and Euro-Atlantic path.
