The memorandum was signed by the Port of Ploce, ENNA Logic, Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Railways of Republika Srpska.
The aim is to create a framework for developing and implementing a joint logistics product for the Ploce–Central and Eastern Europe railway corridor, based on coordinated operational activity, a harmonised commercial approach and improved service quality.
The signatories said they were joining forces on the market to strengthen the competitiveness of rail transport along the route, taking into account a decline in transport volumes and loss of market share to alternative routes and other modes of transport.
Cooperation will include the development of a unified market offer, coordination of timetables and capacity, exchange of operational information and a coordinated approach to key clients.
Particular emphasis is placed on promoting the corridor as a competitive and reliable logistics solution for regional and Central European markets.
According to the Port of Ploce management, the memorandum represents an important step in strengthening transport and logistics connectivity along Corridor Vc, one of the key routes linking the port with Bosnia and Herzegovina and markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
Corridor Vc is an international transport route connecting Budapest, eastern Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Port of Ploce, making Ploce a key Adriatic outlet for goods flows from the region’s interior towards European and global markets.
