The lifeless body of a Turkish national who attempted to illegally cross the Bosnia-Croatia border was found on Sunday in Bosnia's northwestern border area, according to the police report.
The body was found by the Croatian police who informed their Bosnian colleagues about the incident.
Seven Turkish nationals attempted to illegally enter Croatia on the night of February 11, crossing the Glina river at the point where they believed the water was low, the police said.
According to Svevlad Hoffman, advisor to the Bosnian Border Police Director, six migrants survived and the seventh, who was first missing, was now confirmed dead.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina took over the case, while six other migrants have been handed over to the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs.
