By closing its air space to Russian planes on Friday, Montenegro joined the European Union member states, which decided the same on February 27 in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.
The country’s Agency for Civil Aviation decided on the closure after a request from the Capital Investment Ministry.
Last year, there were no regular and charter flights between the two countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian measures against it.
