The Meteoalarm.eu website issued a warning on Wednesday for the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina - the orange meteorological alarm - due to the extremely high daily temperatures which will reach up to 39 degrees Celsius in some areas.

In the area of Prijedor, Banja Luka, Visegrad, Foca, Trebinje and Livno, in the period from 11:00 to 18:00, the maximum daily temperature will be above 35 degrees Celsius.

A maximum temperature of about 36 degrees Celsius in the period from 12:00 to 17:00 is expected in the area of Bihac, in the areas of Tuzla and Sarajevo it will be about 37, while Mostar will experience about 39 degrees Celsius.

An orange warning means that the weather could be dangerous for humans and animals and that it could cause material damage.

According to the Meteoalarm.eu website, a red meteorological alarm is predicted for Thursday, meaning that even more extreme temperatures are expected.
