“The Son of God expects our love and allows us to embrace him,” said a message sent by the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Porfirije, which was read by the protopresbyter-staurophors Vladimir Stupar.
Orthodox Christians following the Julian calendar, including those in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are celebrating Christmas on Saturday.

As per tradition, the faithful lit the yule log on Christmas Eve the night before and attended the Christmas Eve mass.
On Christmas Day, the faithful attend the morning liturgy and then spend the rest of the day in their homes with family.
