Red Cross Croatia reported on Monday that it had raised close to €150,000 for the victims of disastrous floods and landslides in neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina, calling on everyone who can do so, to help the victims.

The donations were raised via payments into Red Cross Croatia's drawing account and by telephone fundraising.

“The situation in the flood-hit areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina is very bad and any help is very much needed. We therefore call on everyone who can do so, to make a donation,” Red Cross Croatia said, noting that currently it collects only financial donations as that type of assistance is the most needed and logistically most effective, considering the situation on the ground.

Croatian residents can make their donation by dialling 060 9011 (a single donation costs €0.83, including VAT and fees to telecom operators) or by making a payment into Red Cross Croatia's drawing account at Erste&steiermärkische bank d.d.
