Ramiz Salkic, the Vice President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska entity, received death threats on January 7 via Facebook, which he reported to the entity's interior ministry Fena news agency reported Thursday.
Salkić confirmed for Fena, the threats were made from the profile of one Stefan Trbic.
He added that he had reported earlier death threats to the police and said that they would not hinder him from spreading the truth and seeking justice for the victims and punishment for the perpetrators.
The threats are the product of separatist Bosnian Serb activities, led by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik, who gives false hope to Bosnian Serbs that they will have a new Serb state. The separatist policy should be stopped before it’s too late for peace and stability in Bosnia and the region, said Salkic.
He expects the judicial and security institutions in the country to investigate everything and inform the public about the results of the investigation.
